Finally got the season up and running last Thursday. Well done to everyone who played their part. Crap weather but there was sunshine in the team’s blood! Opposition managed 98 and we managed 99 in the last over thanks to some brave batting by man of the match Tanoj. Couple of decent catches, notably one by Olly who then proceeded to casually carry on running over the boundary giving the opposition a six! Couple of drops too but enough about them! Good unbeaten 25 from Colin, a decent score from Vel and some big hitting from Big Ian too. Bowlers all a bit rusty to begin with but settled down after first couple of overs – well done Kevin McCabe especially.   

Really good turn out in the pub, nice meal and Vel won the fine wine!
